The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California aged 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The renowned video game developer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
