Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Athlete of the Year award.

These three athletes have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
