Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for a new locally engineered defensive UAV to enhance its aerial protection systems. Three initial manufacturers have begun manufacturing, with 11 more preparing to set up assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials stated this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Combat Situations

These UAVs utilize a nationally created technology called “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated successful “at night, under jamming and at low altitudes,” officials confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of producing as many as 1,000 interceptors each day.
